Gangsters are gangsters are gangsters. It's as normalized in this trashy city as trash on the ground, as blood on the streets. Badou especially is incredibly familiar with them-- getting chased by thugs of gangsters most days out of the week that end in y. It's an art at this point, and it isn't paying enough. Most of them act the same, be it drugs or sex or otherwise, so he knows what to expect.

But usually, something comes to knock that out of the park eventually, when he gets a little too confident. Thus comes a summons to Liza's place-- she's having a meeting with some important people and requests Badou's opinion. Normal, right?

As soon as the info broker walks into the meeting room he stops and tries to turn around-- before two of Liza's giant bodyguards bodily lift him and drag him back in--

There are gangsters in here.

[ There most certainly are, Badou. Gangsters who all turn to look as you enter the room!

Quite a few of them look displeased at Badou's response to seeing them. Another is laughing, far too amused by the guy being dragged back in. But one guy speaks up before even Liza gets to say anything. ]

Well, would you check out this guy. Two steps in and he's already jumping ship.

[Badou's quick to point out, glowering hotly at the two brutes who slam him into a seat beside Mista. At the very least Bruno doesn't look impressed, and Narancia giggles nearby.

The redhead doesn't look too worried at that-- just worried in general.]

You could find anyone else, Granny, c'mon--

[he pleads at the older woman, who frowns severely at him and turns back to Bruno to add:]

Now that everyone is here, we'll begin.

[ The group's given the run down. Talk of a new underground drug ring that's attempting to harvest the business the Italian mob used to run. It'll be easier to clear out the quicker they get on top of it. Get some intel, learn the hierarchy of the group, their locations of business.

Once the name of the target is stated, Mista interrupts. ]

Yeah yeah, let's cut to the chase already. Bucciarati, you want me to hunt down this stronzo and introduce his ugly mug to my Sex Pistols?

[ That's when their eyes shift to Badou. They obviously want him to go along, as well. ]

[that does all sounds pretty standard, but Badou doesn't get one thing]

So why the hell am I here? There's a bunch of them, they can figure it out, surely they can collect paperwork.

glances at Narancia's vacant, blank expression.]

[ Catching Badou's comment towards Narancia gets an amused laugh out of Mista. However, the answer Badou gets to his question can be summarized by a simple 'You're going because we said so.' To which Mista gives another laugh.

Thankfully, Giorno speaks up, explaining how the pair should do well together considering they wield similar weapons. And how Mista's Stand would work for each of them, should things get messy. The news seems to grab Mista's interest. ]

So you're packing heat, too huh? Hey, who knows, we might make a pretty good team.

[If Badou could sink into his seat, through it and into the floor right about now, he would. As much as a great idea pairing two gunmen together is, this is all still so....weird.]

Or you'll just use me as a human shield and tell Liza you lost me by accident.

[muttering sullenly to himself, but definitely looking defeated]
