Continued from all this beauty

[He's had a pretty hard time stumbling around after his injury...but that doesn't really stop him. Whiny as he is, Badou had too much to do. Sure, he'd stayed mostly at home these past few days, but he's been very busy. No laying around, no unconsciousness for too long.

He's been developing the film he'd taken during the last job, carefully cultivated in the darkness of his nasty little bathroom, the chemicals would sting his nose if he wasn't used to this already.

So it's no surprise he's been so focused he's forgotten to do some stuff around the place, lately. And will probably not notice a new visitor in the form of his little old man buddy, either.]

[he's still not thrilled...but he lays back and closes his eye, as he does not want to see the needles at all. still, give him that good stuff]

[ She offers him a reassuring smile before he close his eye. Her touch is gentle as she rubs a alcohol pad over the injection site on his arm and then she gives him the numbing shot. She goes about preparing the other stuff she'll need as she waits for the medicine to do its job and give him sufficient numbness.

Delicately she touches the wounded area after a while to see his reaction.]

How does that feel?

[the needles don't hurt as much as the actual injury, obviously. but still unpleasant. after a few minutes, there's a pleasant numbness that spreads across his skin, and when Grace touches the spot, he shrugs.]

Just the pressure. You're good to go.

[ She nods as she starts by wiping down the wound, carefully cleaning it and then she removes the old broken stitches, carefully cutting them away with the suture scissors. She moves efficiently enough, cleaning the wound again once the old stitches are removed. Then she goes about restitching the wound with fresh sutures. Once she's done, she cleans things up one more time and places a fresh bandage over the area to protect it from further infection.

Then she gives him the shot for the antibiotic last.]

There you go, all finished.

[ She tells him as she moves over to the cabinet to pull out a two small bottle of pills and brings them back over to the table. ]

You can take these with you. The first one is more antibiotics. Take two a day for the next week and that should kill any infection you were developing. This one is a pain killer, try to only take them as needed for the pain.

[ She holds the pill bottles out toward Badou with a kind smile on her face. ]

[while she worked Badou had kept his arm over his eye, clearly not wanting to see a single bit of her task, even though he could feel the tug of the stitches, the pulled skin. it was an uncomfortable feeling.

when she's done he pulls his arm from his bleary gaze so he can finally see it's over. and there are pills at the end. better than any lollipop. he takes them, offers a shaky smile.]

Gotcha, doc. I'll follow your instructions to the letter. Thanks a lot...bet your kids uh, were really well taken care of with you kissing their boo-boos.

[ She smiles and a slight chuckle escapes her lips. Taking care of her children has been her biggest priority. It's only recently that she's been able to see a bigger picture. ]

You're welcome, dear. I did my best but they didn't always make it easy.

[ A rare admission that things weren't perfect. Gently she pats Badou's arm. ]

Take care of yourself, young man.

Figure that's the way kids are.

[robot mom...kids with powers....practically an actual robot dad. but its clear to anyone, even someone half blind, how much they care about each other. he offers her another small smile.]

[ She gives Badou a nod and a small smile of her own. ]

Are you hungry? I can make you something to eat.

[ Robot mom, is still a mom after all. And clearly poor Badou could probably use a little bit of motherly care.]

I, er, you don't have to or anything.

[just because this is all her duty doesn't mean she has to for him, he's not her kid]

[ A slight frown crosses her face, before she smiles again.]

Well of course, I don't silly. But I am offering.

[ Even as a robot, she can see that Badou's had a tough time. ]

Oh. Well sure, yeah.

[he could use something to eat for sure]

Alright, do you want to rest up here or would you like to come back downstairs?

[ She asks, she's honestly fine with either option. He's the one who is hurt after all. But she'll fully admit that he looks like he could do with meal and probably some sleep. But these boys are always so stubborn about self care. ]

I can come down. [much as he doesn't want to face any stares or comments after all this. but he hops off the bed, winces a little, but stays upright.

[ She smiles warmly as she gestures for him to follow her back to the kitchen, so she can make him something to eat and she can check on the others and see how they are doing. Hopefully there is some news about Five. ]

[he follows along, the dread he initially felt at seeing the others again is lessened. maybe at the prospect of food, maybe it's the numbness, who knows!

all he does know is he needs to settle down. and he does, right at the table, giving an 'oof' as he plops down. a couple of the siblings seem to have moved on, at least]

[ Klaus happens to be the only one left in the kitchen by the time Grace and Badou return. Grace gives his shoulder a squeeze as she heads over to the fridge to inspect the contents to see what she can make in an efficient amount of time.]

You're looking better. Feeling better?

[ Klaus asks, just before Grace turns to look over at Badou ]

Would you like a sandwich, Badou? We have turkey, ham and roast beef, if you are interested.

Y'mean I don't look like ass warmed over? Yeah, I'm feeling better.

[small miracles, it's only Klaus. not that the guy can't be intimidating in his own right, but still.

and all that sounds like it'd be tasty on a sandwich]

[ Klaus laughs, he's got a sense of humor and while things aren't great, he's still relieved that Badou doesn't look like he's going to drop dead. ]

Well you sorta still do like ass, but at least not a pale one anymore.

[ He jokes back, giving Badou a playful wink. Grace just gives Badou a nod as she pulls the things she'll need to make his sandwich out of the fridge and sets to work. ]

[he rolls his eye and huffs]

You don't exactly look tan and sound either, dude. This is just my face.

Touché. [ Klaus says with a shrug. He's not exactly slaying right now. This was suppose to be just an average day at home. ] But seriously, you are looking a bit more lively then you were. A little mom treatment goes a long way.

[ He gives Badou a playful wink as he glances over to Grace, spreading things out on the counter to start assembling a sandwich for someone with a hefty appetite. ]

Looks like you are trying to rival Luther on how much can he eat scale.

[ Klaus jokes further. ]

Psh, I dunno about that. I think it's the drugs...but food always goes a long way.

[Badou just watches, face cradled in his palm as layer after layer goes on the sandwich. a side eye at Klaus]

I'm a growing boy, is all.

[ Grace works swiftly as soon as spins around with a completed sandwich on a plate and a glass of orange juice in the other hand. Definitely a big one given the request for all the different lunch meats and the extras she put into it to make it a bit more balance. She even cut it in half for him. Smoothly she places the plate and glass in front of Badou. ]

Here you go, dear. Eat up. Would like some dessert, Klaus?

[ Klaus just shakes his head. ]

No thanks, mom. I'm good. I'm sure the growing boy over here will be more than happy to eat all the dessert.

[ Klaus says with another playful wink. ]

[he feels like if he asked her to cut off the crusts she would with no question.

he isn't going to, Badou'll just dig in, rolling his eye at Klaus]

[ Grace gives Badou a pat on the shoulder as she goes to clean up after herself and tidy up the kitchen. Klaus on the other hand just chuckles as he leans on the table, resting his chin on the back of his hand.]

At this rate, we really will have to adopt you. Since you even got Mom, spoiling you.

[Badou's expression sours. Look, he's grateful but the idea doesn't exactly give him the warm fuzzies. It's 'bad' enough that him and Five have bonded nearly like...siblings.]

I'm good, Nails-Hargreeves is too much of a mouthful. Besides, she's like this with everyone, right?
