[He's had a pretty hard time stumbling around after his injury...but that doesn't really stop him. Whiny as he is, Badou had too much to do. Sure, he'd stayed mostly at home these past few days, but he's been very busy. No laying around, no unconsciousness for too long.

He's been developing the film he'd taken during the last job, carefully cultivated in the darkness of his nasty little bathroom, the chemicals would sting his nose if he wasn't used to this already.

So it's no surprise he's been so focused he's forgotten to do some stuff around the place, lately. And will probably not notice a new visitor in the form of his little old man buddy, either.]

and Five should blame him. he's got in something weird because he helped out. sure, he'd get himself into things like that all on his own, but Badou sure was helpful.]

[ Of course, Luther is also worried for his brother. Whoever got to him had to have known who they were dealing with to get the drop on Five. So he can't see it being Badou's fault really if they knew about Five already. Badou was probably just the bait. ]

[ Luther just shrugs, he's never really been hip on the lingo that the street kids be speaking. ]

I know, it doesn't stop you from worrying. I haven't always done right by Five, but I'm not going to give up on him. We are going to find him and then we are going to have a serious discussion about this need of his to do everything alone.

[ Five's got to know that putting himself in danger like this isn't okay with the rest of them. They already mourned him once, they aren't ready to do so again.]

[ Not that he minds, he is glad Badou told them what was going on considering how quickly things have turned south. If he had waited, the trail would be even colder then it already is. ]

[ Luther smirks at that. ]

We've been trying to get him out of the uniforms, but we haven't wanted to push him. Vanya thinks he does it out of nostalgia now.

[ The Academy comes into view and he pulls in behind the building in the back alley as they normally do and parks. He takes note that Diego's car is back, so he probably led foot his way back.]

Come on, looks like Diego and Klaus are back already.

[he can understand it, somewhat. he may not have lived for 45 years in a dead wasteland but he's living in a stagnant past as well. he can't move on.

his stomach tightens again at the sight of the car. As helpful as the peptalk had been, he knows Diego is a little more....more.

he pops his seatbelt off and slides out of his seat and fully into the alley]

[ Luther leads the way into the house, going through the back entrance that leads to the kitchen that siblings normally used over the fancier one. It looked as though Grace were cooking as Diego and Klaus sat talking at the kitchen table. ]

Hey, have you called the girls yet?

[ Luther asks his brothers before greeting "Mom", who just smiles and greets him back as though everything is perfectly fine. ]

Yeah, and unsurprisingly they are both pissed that we didn't tell them sooner.

[ Diego replies with a sigh as Klaus gives Badou a wave. ]

So you must be Badou, it's nice to meet you, wish it was under better circumstances.

[he'd seen pictures of the mansion before ever popping in here for hang out time but still, every time he has to just take it all in...white rich folk money, here in living color, from the high ceilings to the robot mom.

He follows after Luther then, leaning against one of the cabinets so he can continue to take it all in without interrupting. Klaus greets him, though, and Badou lifts a hand in greeting as well]

Hey. Yeah, same. Wish this was a bbq instead of a rescue.

[ Klaus slightly chuckles as he can appreciate some gallows humor as well as the next person. Diego frowns but says nothing as he glances down at Five's phone that sits on the table. Luther notices the phone and walks over to look over Diego's shoulder.]

Were you able to get anything from Five's phone yet?

Not yet. I have Beaman checking on the last number he texted before he went missing. Hopefully it won't be another dead end.

[he gives a silent little sigh. waiting is the worst part of work, of anything.

not to mention aside from the initial greeting Badou....really doesn't want to be noticed. at all. so he stays silent and waits. keeps looking around curiously.]

[ Klaus glances over to Badou as Ben points out that the guy seems a bit pale still. He frowns remembering that the guy mentioned being injured. ]

How's your injured that Five suckered punch doing?

[ Luther and Diego both glance toward Badou as yeah they remember that detail too. ]

Oh yeah, if you need your bandages changed, let us know. There's an infirmary upstairs and Grace is fully trained to give any and all medical treatments.

[ Grace glances away from the stove to give all the boys in the room a bright smile as she hears her name be spoken. ]

[he's not thrilled to be the center of attention, so he crosses his arms around his middle defensively. then his gaze flickers to the mom-bot]

If you can just spare some, I can do the rest.

[truthfully he's pretty sure the wound must have opened a little, what, with the pain he's got going on right now.]

[ Grace replies with a smile as she fully turns around with two plates in hand. She places one in front of Diego and the other in front of Klaus. ]

Did you want anything to eat, dear?

[She asks Luther.]

No thanks, mom. I'm not hungry.

[ Grace simply nods before turning her attention to Badou. ]

Follow me, please. I'll take you to the infirmary.

[she's so efficient and in heels too.

Badou just blinks, gives a nod and a slow, almost confused:]

Okaaaay....?

[ She just gives him another smile as she gently directs him toward the kitchen exit. The moment she places a hand on his mid back, she slightly frowns, her hand moving up to press against his forehead. ]

It seems you are running a low grade fever. Come along, the sooner we get to the infirmary, the sooner we can get you sorted.

[oh, he hadn't even been feeling out of sorts, and she can tell just like that? technology, wow. another nod, he does want to just get this over with painlessly as possible]

Lead the way.

[ Grace is always chipper, her bedside manner designed to be maternal. Even for someone who isn't one of her kids. She leads Badou upstairs to the infirmary, which looks like a standard doctor's clinic. ]

Go ahead and have a seat on the table.

[ She directs as she goes put on her apron and walk over to the supply cabinet to pull out some basic supplies.]

If you'll show me your injury, I can clean it up for you.

[he hops on up there slowly, nearly doesn't make up it up there, but there he is, only sweating a little.

finally, he shrugs his shirt off, wincing slightly]

[ Grace pulls on a pair of gloves as she brings the supplies over to the tray by the table. She does note the slowness of his movements and the way he favors the injured side.]

You're welcome, dear.

[ She says kindly as she moves over to him to check on the bandaging that's already there. She notices that it was hastily put on, so she carefully goes to remove it and looks at what she's working with. ]

Oh someone's been a little rough. It looks like I'll need to redo some of your stitches. Once we get these freshened up, I'll get you some antibiotics.

[he groans, hating the sound of that. that's going to be uncomfortable, and they don't have time to be treating him with delicate kid-gloves or anything. also stitches, yuck.]

Your littlest son did the first round of this. Clearly he didn't learn from you, huh.
